Protesters = terrorists?

New York and several other states are considering laws with definitions of terrorism so broad that PETA might be considered a terrorist organization. The bill, influenced heavily by the American Legislative Exchange Council, includes language that defines 'terrorist' as "any association, organization, entity, coalition, or combination of two or more persons with the primary or incidental purpose of supporting any politically motivated activity through intimidation, coercion, fear, or other means." It's the "other means" that is particularly scary.

You better watch it, Amnesty International. The Attorney General of New York may be coming after you next.
