Getting involved

I have been a little frustrated lately by how routine the faith life of my congregation in Galesburg seems to be, and by the fact that one of our few public ministries seems to be an hour of Lutheran-themed radio we sponsor each Sunday. I thought I would ask the larger blogosphere: what have you done to get more involved in your congregation? What activities or ministries have excited people and gotten them interested in their faith? For my secular readers, what strategies have helped you re-energize the members of the organizations you belong to?
